Ingredients

For the dip
  • 1 tsp unsalted butter softened, for greasing
  • 1 block (8 oz) cream cheese softened
  • 0.5 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 0.25 cup Parmesan cheese grated
  • 0.5 tsp garlic powder
  • 0.25 tsp kosher salt
For the topping
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes halved
  • 2 tbsp fresh basil chopped
  • 1 tbsp balsamic glaze

Equipment

  • 1 1-quart baking dish

Method

Prepare the dip
  1. Heat the oven to 375°F.
  2. Grease a 1-quart baking dish with the softened butter.
  3. In a medium bowl, stir together the cream cheese, sour cream, mozzarella, Parmesan, garlic powder, and salt until evenly combined.
  4. Spread the mixture in the prepared dish.
Top and bake
  1. Scatter the cherry tomatoes over the dip.
  2. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, until hot and bubbling at the edges and the tomatoes have softened.
Finish
  1. Let the dip rest for 5 minutes.
  2. Scatter the basil over it.
  3. Drizzle with the balsamic glaze.

Notes

For the smoothest dip, let the cream cheese soften fully before mixing. Refrigerate leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days; freezing is not recommended because the dairy may separate. Serve with gluten-free crackers or vegetables for gluten-free dippers.
