  • 1 lb pizza dough prepared, at room temperature
  • 0.5 cup pizza sauce
  • 1.5 cup low-moisture mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 0.5 cup mini pepperoni chopped
  • 0.5 cup green bell pepper finely diced

Equipment

  • 2 13x18-inch baking sheet

Method

  1. Heat the oven to 450°F.
  2. Line two 13x18-inch baking sheets with parchment paper.
  3. Lightly dust a work surface with the flour.
  4. Divide the dough into 8 equal pieces.
  5. Press each piece into a tree shape about 4 inches tall, with a pointed top, stepped branches, and a short trunk.
  6. Arrange 4 dough trees on each baking sheet, leaving space between them.
  7. Spread 1 tablespoon of pizza sauce over each tree.
  8. Divide the mozzarella, pepperoni, and bell pepper evenly among the trees.
  9. Bake on the upper and lower oven racks for 10–14 minutes, switching and rotating the sheets halfway through, until the crust edges are golden and the cheese is bubbling.

Notes

For neat tree shapes, press the dough into the pointed top, stepped branches, and trunk before adding toppings. Refrigerate leftovers for up to 3 days; freeze yes. For a gluten-free option, use gluten-free prepared pizza dough.
